Legendary new wave band Talking Heads have thrilled fans worldwide by announcing their first tour in over four decades. The 2025 world tour, beginning on April 26 in New York City, will celebrate their influential career and mark a monumental reunion for the band, whose last live performance together was in 1984.

The tour promises to feature a mix of Talking Heads’ classic hits, including Once in a Lifetime, Psycho Killer, and Burning Down the House, alongside some deeper cuts that have rarely been performed live. The band’s iconic blend of art rock, funk, and punk has inspired generations, and their return to the stage is being hailed as a historic moment in music.

Talking Heads, comprised of David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, announced the tour in a statement: “After years apart, we’re excited to come together and share the music that has defined so much of our lives. We’ve missed connecting with our fans and can’t wait to create new memories with all of you.”

The tour will span over 40 dates, including stops in major cities across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, culminating in a grand finale at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 28. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting January 10, 2025, with general sales opening on January 15.

This announcement follows renewed interest in Talking Heads’ music, fueled by the 2023 re-release of their concert film Stop Making Sense, which was met with critical acclaim. Fans eagerly anticipate not just the performances but the band’s unmistakable energy and innovative visual production, which have always set them apart.

Stay tuned for further updates as one of music’s most iconic bands prepares to take the world by storm again.
