That’s because Jovic is progressing in his recovery from a sprained left ankle/fractured toe and there’s a possibility that he’ll be cleared in time to play in the Olympics for the Serbian national team, according to the Heat. Jovic missed Serbia’s pre-Olympic exhibition loss to Adebayo and Team USA in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday because of his injuries. But the Jovic vs. Adebayo matchup could still happen this summer when Team USA and Serbia open the Olympics against each other on July 28 in Lille, France. I want him to get healthy because he’s on the good side. Need him to get healthy for the season.” Jovic was injured last month during an on-court drill at Kaseya Center, prompting concern when he was photographed in a walking boot on his left foot. However, the injury has improved and the Heat expects Jovic to be ready and available for the start of training camp on Oct. 1, according to a league source.
