Two MAFS UK brides issue warnings to viewers ahead of new series start – as one of them makes defiant statement against her troll

As anticipation builds for the launch of the new Married At First Sight UK series, two former brides from the hit reality show have taken to social media to share heartfelt warnings with viewers. Both women urged fans to remember the human side of reality TV and to treat this year’s cast with kindness.

Amy Kenyon, who rose to fame on last year’s E4 edition of the show, posted a lengthy statement to her 147,000 Instagram followers. Her message was a direct appeal for compassion as fresh episodes prepare to hit screens. She reminded fans that behind the entertainment are real people with real feelings.

“I am mainly posting this to remind the people watching, please remember that the people you see on your screens are real, just like you, with feelings and a story you sometimes don’t fully see,” Amy wrote. She stressed that contestants deserve respect, regardless of how they are portrayed on screen.

Her message highlighted the power of editing in shaping storylines, urging viewers not to take every moment at face value. “Remember that what you watch on TV or online is often edited or shown through a certain lens, so take it with a pinch of salt and try to watch without judgment,” she added. According to Amy, compassion and understanding can transform both online and offline interactions.

The former bride ended on a more positive note, sharing her excitement for the upcoming series. “Can’t wait to see what happens this season! Who will be watching?” she teased, sparking conversations among her fan base.

However, Amy also revealed she has faced personal challenges since her time on the show. In a series of Instagram Stories, she explained that she had attempted to call a woman who had persistently trolled her since her TV appearance. One clip showed her failed attempt to reach the woman by phone.

In a bolder follow-up video, Amy directly addressed the troll. Raising her middle finger to the camera, she named the individual and delivered a defiant “f*** you.” Her move showed her determination not to be silenced or intimidated by online abuse.

Meanwhile, fellow former bride Jay Howard, who appeared in the 2023 series, also weighed in with advice for new viewers. Posting alongside images of herself in her MAFS wedding dress, she sent words of encouragement to this year’s cast.

“Wishing the absolute best of luck to the MAFS cast of 2025! It’s a wild ride. Embrace it, enjoy it, but don’t get too wrapped up in what you might see online,” Jay wrote. Her comments echoed Amy’s reminder that the online chatter surrounding the show should be taken lightly.

Reflecting on her own journey, Jay added: “How has it been a year already?! Good luck to all the beautiful brides and grooms of MAFS 2025.” Her nostalgic post served as both a reflection on her past and a supportive gesture towards the new group about to face the spotlight.
