Alvyn Sanches, a midfielder for FC Lausanne-Sport, is a target for Celtic, but the Scottish powerhouse will not have a

free hand with the young Swiss player. The 21-year-old is also being watched by clubs in the Championship and

throughout Europe, as his stellar season has drawn interest from a number of places in Europe.

Sanches, who was born in France but qualified for Switzerland at the youth level, has been associated with Lausanne

for more than ten years. He scored six goals in 27 games from the middle of the park last season, despite the team’s

struggles in the Swiss Super League.

According to Express Sport, Celtic dispatched scouts to evaluate Sanches at different times between 2023–2024, and

the Scottish Premiership winners are still interested in signing him before

the summer transfer window opens.

It is believed that Sanches, who is anticipated to depart Lausanne in the upcoming weeks, has impressed Hoops head

coach Brendan Rodgers. Any potential transfer, meanwhile, will depend on whether

the £4.3 million asking price from the Swiss club is fulfilled.

Not only Celtic, but other teams are debating whether to put Lausanne’s determination to the test. Along with teams

in Germany, France, and the Netherlands, championship sides Stoke City and

Coventry City have been closely monitoring Sanches’ condition.

One of the most exciting young talents in Swiss football, Sanches is technical, tenacious, and has an eye for goal.

Since making his Lausanne debut just three months after turning eighteen,

he has already accrued almost 100 senior games.
