There are several storylines in this Old Firm Final, which is the first in the competition’s history. Philippe Clement

still needs to defeat Brendan Rodgers, and the Rangers’ record-breaking title total is really in jeopardy.

However, a more intriguing line of inquiry concerns the team turnover, as a number of players on the Rangers are

becoming less and less likely to be around for the upcoming year.

Essentially, Philippe Clement has stated as much.

However, as the weekend draws near, a source claims that three Rangers players are certain to depart,

regardless of the outcome at Hampden.

Three to leave Ibrox

With all those transfer reports swirling overhead, journalist Chris Jack has been providing an update in the Rangers Review.

Speaking about the contract situations of several at the club – Rangers have no fewer than six first-team stars out of

contract in the summer – three of the names now look set to leave.

Two of them, Borna Barisic and John Lundstram, are reportedly edging closer to a switch to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Kemar Roofe, who has had terrible injuries during three of his four years in Glasgow, is the second name that was discussed.

This comes after it appeared like the striker was saying his goodbyes after the season’s last home game.

Even though the source states that these trio in particular is “set to leave Ibrox,” it is obvious that they will be three

of many names leaving the team during a “hectic summer of wheeling and dealing.”

Rangers transfer negotiations ongoing

The report also touches on Rangers’ incoming interests, with Jack confirming that Brazilian left-back Jefte is set to

join the club from Fluminense.

Despite Norwich’s interest, Rangers are reportedly in the lead race for Bulgarian defender Jose Cordoba.

Interestingly, though, the paper offers an update on the Gers’ efforts to sign Oscar Cortes and Abdallah Sima on loan.

According to the claims, Rangers and Premier League team Brighton are still in talks for Abdallah Sima’s permanent

transfer. This is consistent with remarks made by Philippe Clement recently.

Oscar Cortes, whose originally promising loan-to-buy stint was cut short due to injury,

has verified that the Gers and parent club RC Lens are still in talks.
