Genesis to Release Exclusive Box Set Celebrating Five Decades of Music
Genesis, the legendary British rock band, has announced the release of an exclusive box set celebrating their illustrious five-decade career. The collection, titled Genesis: Through the Years, will feature remastered editions of their most iconic albums, rare live recordings, and previously unreleased tracks, offering fans a comprehensive journey through their musical evolution.
The box set spans the band’s early progressive rock era, led by Peter Gabriel, to their chart-topping success under Phil Collins’ frontmanship. Albums like Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, Duke, and Invisible Touch will be included, each presented with enhanced sound quality and new liner notes. Additionally, fans can look forward to rare live performances, including a complete 1973 show during The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour and recordings from their final The Last Domino? tour in 2022.
Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, and Phil Collins collaborated closely on the project, ensuring the collection captures the essence of Genesis’ creative journey. “We wanted this box set to reflect the full scope of what Genesis has achieved over the years,” said Banks in a recent interview. “It’s a thank-you to our fans who have supported us through every chapter.”
The set will also feature a deluxe book filled with rare photos, behind-the-scenes stories, and personal reflections from all members of the band, including Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel. Exclusive memorabilia, such as reproduction tour posters and handwritten lyrics, will complete the package.
Genesis: Through the Years is set to release in late 2025 and will be available in both physical and digital formats. With demand already high among fans, pre-orders are expected to sell out quickly. This definitive collection is poised to cement Genesis’ enduring legacy as one of the greatest bands in rock history.
