Zaha’s Impressive Form In Turkish Football Last Season

The 31-year-old enjoyed a decent campaign at the Turkish club as he managed to put in a handful of eye-catching

displays for them in the final third. Zaha has found the back of the net ten times and grabbed five assists in 42

matches for Galatasaray last season across multiple competitions.

In the Turkish Super Lig, the Ivory Coast player has been a productive player in the opposition’s half, averaging 1.6

shots, 0.8 crucial passes, and 1.4 dribbles per ninety minutes. After finishing 79.4% of his passes in the Turkish first

division, he has even been neat with the ball distribution (data via whoscored).

In the summer of 2026, Zaha’s current contract with the Turkish club comes to an end. In order to actually lure him

back to the Premier League this summer, West Ham would need to make a sizable bid.

Should West Ham United Get Zaha On Board?

Zaha is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He generates a lot of power with

his shot attempts and can use his quickness to get in behind the opponent’s backline.

Though he can also play on the right wing or as a striker down the middle when necessary, the Ivory Coastan is

predominantly a left-sided wide player. If West Ham is successful in signing him this summer, he will quickly get

used to life at the London Stadium as he is already familiar with the Premier League from his time at Crystal Palace.

Zaha, who is 31 years old, still has a few excellent years remaining to play at his peak. In the upcoming years, he is

capable of helping the East London powerhouse contend for European football once more. It seems logical, then,

that the Hammers would want to sign him during this summer’s transfer window.
