The legendary British rock band Motörhead may have played their last live note with the passing of frontman Lemmy Kilmister in 2015, but their influence continues to roar across the music world. In exciting news for fans, a new tribute album and a documentary celebrating the band’s legacy are set to release later this year.

The tribute album, titled Forever Motörhead, will feature covers of the band’s greatest hits by contemporary rock and metal artists, including Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Ghost. Iconic tracks like “Ace of Spades”, “Overkill”, and “Born to Raise Hell” are expected to receive fresh interpretations, showcasing Motörhead’s enduring impact on modern music.

Accompanying the album is the documentary Louder Than Everyone Else, which promises an in-depth look at the band’s journey from their inception in 1975 to their final tour. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Sam Dunn, the film includes rare footage, interviews with former band members, and reflections from peers like Ozzy Osbourne and Dave Grohl.

“Motörhead wasn’t just a band; it was a movement,” Dunn remarked in a press release. “Their music, attitude, and sheer tenacity inspired countless fans and artists alike. This project is a celebration of their indomitable spirit.”

The band’s official social media channels announced that the tribute album will drop in May 2025, while the documentary will premiere at major film festivals before a wide release. Fans are eagerly awaiting these releases as a way to relive the raw power and passion of Motörhead, a band that redefined the boundaries of rock and metal.

Though Lemmy and Motörhead may no longer be with us, their thunderous legacy continues to shake the world, proving that rock and roll truly never dies.
