Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Announce New Album, Cover Piaf, and Plan 2025 Tour
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds made a triumphant return in 2024 with their 18th studio album, Wild God. This marks their first release since 2019’s critically acclaimed Ghosteen. Recorded in Provence, France, and London, Wild God spans ten tracks that delve into rich narratives, experimentation, and emotional depth. Highlights include tracks like “Song of the Lake” and “Joy.” Nick Cave described the album as deeply moving, saying, “When it hits, it hits. It lifts you. It moves you”.
In addition to the album, Cave offered a haunting rendition of Edith Piaf’s “La Vie en rose” for the Apple TV+ series The New Look. Performed in English, his smoky and emotive cover showcases his versatility and pays homage to the French classic.
