The Rangers forward line is one area of the park that Philippe Clement will need to improve this summer.

Kemar Roofe will retire from the striking department at the end of his contract,

but the team is severely lacking options out wide.

Given that Jefte has already signed with Rangers and that Philippe Clement has hinted that more signings may be on

the horizon, the team’s next addition may be a goal-scoring machine.

Negotiations for Adama Traore could see imminent Rangers move

According to africafoot.com, one of the largest African football websites, Nils Koppen is at an ‘advanced stage’ in

negotiations to sign Adama Traore.

The 54 times capped Mali international has been in fine form for Ferencvaros this season with 14 goals and five

assists in 27 appearances and is known for his Kylian Mbappe like speed.

At 28-years old, Traore wouldn’t be signed with a view to sell on at a profit, instead, he would be expected to come

to Ibrox and make an impact straight away.

With 89 goal contributions in his last 144 games, Traore could be the rarest of things if he comes to Rangers – a goal

scoring right winger.

The speedster is rumored to be wanted by Fulham as well, but Rangers will have an equal chance to sign him given

his £3.5 million price tag.

Philippe Clement is in dire need of reinforcements in this position.

Oscar Cortes has been spotted completing his recuperation at Auchenhowie and appears to be heading back to the Rangers.

Abdallah Sima is a player Brighton will demand a high price for, but even with his goal return,

his injury history over the past few seasons is concerning.

If the desire is there to bring them both back during the summer, then there shouldn’t be any complications.

Koppen facing difficult task to upgrade Rangers

The problem will be moving on those who aren’t good enough or can be relied upon to consistently make a difference.

Rabbi Matondo and Scott Wright have had more than enough chances.

Matondo’s goals/assists per minute record is what Rangers should be looking for,

but every time he gets up to speed he gets injured again.

And there’s Wright, who was on the verge of quitting last summer.

In one of the final games of the season, he scored his first goal in the league in more than 40 games against Dundee.

Like Cortes, Clement seeks players who can play a major role and yet grow and be profitable to sell.

He also needs players like Adama Traore, who can get out to a quick start and score goals, something that very few

Rangers wingers have been able to accomplish in the last ten years.
