Finally, it seems like West Ham has secured a deal for Brazilian striker Luis Guilherme.

The young striker from Palmeiras has been strongly connected to the Hammers, and journalist Valentin Furlan of

Goal Brasil says that they have finally prevailed in the competition to sign him.

The journalist reports that Tim Steidten’s trip to Brazil has proven to be worthwhile in a piece published on X on

June 5. The 18-year-old attacker and the Hammers have already worked out personal terms, and they have now also

struck an understanding with the Brazilian team.

In addition to £6 million in bonuses, West Ham is willing to spend up to £25.5 million for the attacker. A provision

has been included by Palmeiras guaranteeing them a cut of about 20 percent of any sales in the future.

Now that the relocation is complete, Guilherme ought to be able to relocate to London for his medical examination.

He is the first player the Hammers will sign this summer, assuming all goes according to plan.

“Palmeiras has an agreement for the sale of Luis Guilherme to West Ham,” he wrote.

“Hammers will pay up to € 30m in total – € 7m in bonuses. Alviverde will also have a 20% stake in a future sale.

Several from the Premier League are interested – but Hammers beat the competition.”

West Ham set to be active in the summer transfer window

This summer, Julen Lopetegui wants to add players to the team, and he may bring in six or eight. The club has made

adding a striker a top priority because it has been severely underutilized in this area over the years.

Guilherme is capable of playing on the wings or as a striker. Although he has incredible dribbling ability and raw

pace, he will likely require some time to adjust to a new level.

The Hammers want to strengthen their back line as well. Although the deal is practically done, they were quite

interested in signing Brazilian defender Fabricio Bruno.

Vitao, a center back who is now on loan at Internacional, has been linked to West Ham. Aleix Garcia, a midfielder for

Girona, is supposedly the target of an official bid from the Hammers.
