Rumor has claimed that West Ham United has returned to attempt to sign Wesley from Corinthians.

After their unsuccessful attempt, Goal Brasil reports that the Hammers are now prepared to

increase their price for the winger.

West Ham reportedly made an initial offer of €15 million. Although Corinthians is demanding €30 million, the

London team shouldn’t pay that amount.

It’s said it’s ‘more likely’ the Hammers will offer something over €20m, including bonuses, and there’s ‘expectation’

the clubs will find a deal this summer.

What seems to be key in these talks is that Corinthians would like to sell the player now and only let him leave at the

end of the Brazilian season, in December. And according to Goal, West Ham are fine with that.

The search for Wesley commenced in May. After their bid was turned down, the Hammers turned their focus to Luis

Guilherme of Palmeiras, who is rumored to be close to completing a €30 million transfer to the London team. It

appears the club has now determined it is worthwhile to invest in both of the youth.

Carlos Miguel, the goalkeeper for Corinthians, had also been courted by West Ham, who wanted to pay his €4

million release clause. However, the player decided to play for Nottingham Forest instead.
