The Kentucky Wildcats have secured another important returnee for the 2025-26 season, as Trent Noah has officially announced he will be coming back for his sophomore year.
The announcement came on Friday when Noah posted a brief but impactful message on Twitter: “I’m back.”
Noah, a Harlan County native, made a solid impact in his first season as a true freshman, stepping up in key moments and showing flashes of the potential that Kentucky fans are excited to see more of in the coming years. In 24 appearances during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 2.7 points per game on 45.1% shooting from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. While his minutes were limited, averaging just 11.1 per game, Noah was able to contribute effectively whenever he stepped onto the court.
One of the highlights of his debut season came during Kentucky’s home win over the Tennessee Volunteers. In that game, Noah had a breakout performance, scoring a career-best 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from three-point range. In addition to his scoring, Noah grabbed two rebounds and dished out one assist in 19 minutes of play. That performance not only showcased his ability to contribute offensively but also his poise in a high-stakes SEC matchup.
Beyond that game, Noah continued to contribute in various ways throughout the season. His three NCAA Tournament appearances saw him log a total of 28 minutes, in which he recorded seven points (including a 2-of-3 shooting performance) and one rebound.
Despite his relatively limited playing time, Noah’s impact was felt, and he demonstrated the kind of potential that could make him a key player for the Wildcats in the future.
With the 2025-26 season approaching, the Wildcats are expected to have a deep roster filled with talented players from both the returning group and incoming recruits.
